Why we built
Wander Window

We’re Rebecca Alesia and Tommy Pescatore, two working travel advisors at Wanderology. Rebecca came to travel from law and urban planning, then built Wanderology around the kind of personal advice and attention clients come back for. Tommy brought an engineering and corporate background to travel advising, first helping friends plan honeymoons and complicated itineraries before making it his profession.

Long story short: we’re two people who know the value of organizing information and working through details. And it’s incredible to us both how much useful knowledge can get buried in an inbox.

Wander Window gives that knowledge somewhere to go. Advisors can bring in supplier recommendations, save their own favorites, discover dining ideas through their networks and share options with clients. Client responses stay with the trip, so the advisor can use them to arrange the details.

We also wanted a library of suggestions for those moments that fall in between the carefully planned itinerary days. A favorite gelato shop. A neighborhood with vintage stores. A walk for the afternoon a client deliberately left at leisure. Field Guides and Down Time help advisors share those ideas, too.

We’re developing Wander Window while continuing to plan travel ourselves. During our private beta, we’re inviting fellow advisors to use it with their own clients and tell us where it helps and what needs work.

We know how much thought goes into a good recommendation. We built Wander Window to make it easier to use, share and find again.
